What is Lentigo?

Lentigo is a small pigmented spot on the skin with a clearly defined edge. Similar to a freckle, a lentigo is harmless and can be removed safely. Unlike a freckle, or ephilus, it does not fade in winter months, and is slightly raised. Common forms are due to UV damage, and can form from chronically sun exposed areas.
